Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a Brit-American sitar player and music artist. She was first in her age group to be awarded the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shankar is a rising young star of sitar music. Indian sitar. She is a student and daughter to Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was in London in 1982 and spent her early years shuttling from London in London and New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut when she was only thirteen years old. In the following years, in Encinitas CA she attended high school and graduated with distinction in the year 1999. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman however she's got an impressive career in recording and performing. She regularly performs together with her dad, and has performed with him for quite a number of years. In 1998 she released her first solo album Anourag. The Grammy Award-winning live at Carnegie Hall was released two years later than her first solo album. Alongside performing at many of the biggest venues as well, she has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka Shankar was born in England and spent a lot of her early years in London and Delhi after which she moved to California in the state where she attended the high school. She started learning to play the guitar at the age nine and was a sitar player in celebration of the 75th anniversary her father's birth in Delhi four years later. Anoushka performed with her father throughout his global tour, gained an impressive number of experiences. As a teenager, she played at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and recorded alongside George Harrison. It is the House of Commons Shield was presented an award by the British Parliament as the top Asian Arts musician. She is the only woman and is the smallest recipient of the prize.
